Hello All,

I have noticed over the years that around the holiday season, things can get tough for some of us. Have you ever struggled during the holidays or with a particular holiday? There are various reasons why we might find this time challenging. Much of the struggle seems to stem from emotional difficulties.

How do you handle the holidays? Where do you go? Do you spend them alone, with family, or friends? Or perhaps you don’t celebrate them for one reason or another. I want to assure you that there are healthy ways to cope with the feelings that arise during the holiday season.

Some people attend meetings, some reach out to others, some go to church, and some talk with counselors for additional support. Personally, I find it helpful to be around others who want to talk and share their holiday experiences and feelings. When we keep these emotions bottled up, we’re less likely to use healthy coping skills to navigate them.

The holidays won’t always be this way. They won’t always feel hard.

What we’re experiencing is just a moment of difficulty, but with support and a willingness to work through it, we can overcome these moments and move forward.

My hope for you is that you’ll find what you need to navigate this moment and move forward. Don’t be afraid to reach out. May God bless you and guide your path forward.
